Publix Coupon Savings Show & Tell: 11-10-12

by Kimberly on November 10, 2012

My Coupon Savings at Publix and how much I spent and saved!

Publix Coupon Savings Show & Tell: 11-10-12

I made it to Publix late last night.  I actually haven’t been the past couple of weeks, which is a good thing, because I spent quite a bit this trip…but I did leave there with 3 Shopping carts full of essentials for my family and managed to still save over 50%…buying turkeys, meat, produce and quite a few other items that were full price and no coupons.

If you are new coupon to using coupons at Publix, make sure you look at the ‘total’ under each item, so you see how much the final price after sales and coupons was.  There are some great deals this week, so check out the deals I bought to see if any of them are ones you want to grab too.  Several of the items I bought this week will be part of my weekly recipes/crafts posts.  I marked those items below, in case you follow along and want to grab them while they are on sale.

Remember that the in order to really save money, you want to ‘stock up ‘ on an item while it’s at the rock bottom price so that you don’t have to purchase it again until it’s at that price again.  This means you are usually going to buy enough to last 3-6 months.

I’m thrilled that I was able to still save over 50% and buy all of the meat, (especially splurge on the Lunch meat), produce and ‘extras’ that I grabbed this week! Obviously, this is WAY more than I am accustomed to spending in a single shopping trip, but it was 3 grocery carts full of food. The cashier told me that most people spend that every visit and leave with about 1/4 of what I was able to get for that amount of money. I have to admit that used to be me before I learned to coupon….and we were struggling to have enough food.  NOW…I’m stocked for a few months on many essential items, and that makes this Savvy Coupon Lady very happy!

Publix Coupon Savings: Show & Tell 73% Savings

by Kimberly on September 15, 2012

Publix Coupon Savings

Publix Coupon Savings: Show & Tell 73% Savings

I headed out to Publix today to get my shopping for the week done. I am thrilled with today’s shopping trip! I got quite a bit of produce and even Boar’s Head Lunch meat and still managed to save over 70%!! I’m really thrilled I was able to stock up on Parmesan Cheese for cheap and Mayo. We ran out of Mayo 2 days ago..so the timing was perfect! That means I’m buying just enough to last the cales cycle, which is what you want to be doing.

I received the Sweetbay Flyer in my 9-9-12 Sunday Paper which had BOTH the $5 off $30 purchase coupon AND it also had a $2 off My Essentials Brand item purchase of $2 or more Sweetbay coupon. I took those coupons to Publix and asked if they would honor the $2 off one for Publix Brand items, as the ‘My Essentials’ is the Sweetbay generic brand…which to my delight they said absolutely!! These coupons also said 1 coupon per purchase, which means I could use multiple of them! Whoohoot!

Below is a list of everything I bought at Publix the coupons I used and how much I spent and saved.

Publix accepts competitor coupons, however each Publix can vary as to what stores they consider to be competitors. Make sure you check at your Publix to see what store coupons you can also use there.

I made a quick trip to Publix today, but loaded up my cart! I am really happy with my savings, as I bought meat and produce among many other things and still managed to save over 50%, which is my goal each week. I make a delicious Tuscan Pork Tenderloin, so I grabbed the tenderloin while that was on sale, and some ground beef to go with the Old El Paso Dinner Kits for nights that I need a super quick dinner.

I did 3 separate transactions so that I could use 3 of the $5 off $30 purchase Winn Dixie Coupons, but in order to make it easier to view I am doing it all in one list here.

Publix Coupon Savings: Show & Tell 9-2

by Kimberly on September 2, 2012

Publix Coupon Savings Show and Tell

Publix Coupon Savings: Show & Tell 9-2

I made it to Publix yesterday…finally.   I was hoping to get to Publix on Friday for a full shopping trip, as many of the coupons expired then, but I just wasn’t able to pull it off.

I’m happy with my savings, but am bummed I missed so many deals…like the Dr Pepper deal!  We had company over on Friday evening, so I did run in and grab soda on Friday, but I bought Mug Root Beer 12 packs and Sierra Mist 12 packs, which there were no coupons for. I didn’t see any Regular Dr Pepper 12 packs left in my store…although I was rushing to make it home before our company, so I probably just missed it.  I’m still happy that I got to save 50% on soda my family loves, with the B2G2 Free Sale going on. Sometimes we just have to save what we can with the time we have. That’s couponing for the ‘Real World’.   (The soda is not in this show & tell, as this is my Saturday shopping trip.)

My goal each shopping trip is to save at least 50%, anything over that I’m thrilled with!

You may notice I didn’t pick any meat up. I still have lunch meat in my freezer from the Butterball deal a couple of weeks ago, chicken breasts are stocked up, I also have steak, pork chops and salmon in my freezer, so I’m pretty set on protein. However, we MIGHT head back today to get spareribs to grill up for Labor Day, just have to decide if my husband is up to grilling those, as it’s a 10 hour process. ;-)

How did you all do this week? I’d love to read about your coupon savings. Please your totals in the comments below. :-)
