My Coupon Savings at Publix and how much I spent and saved!

Publix Coupon Savings Show & Tell: 11-10-12

I made it to Publix late last night.  I actually haven’t been the past couple of weeks, which is a good thing, because I spent quite a bit this trip…but I did leave there with 3 Shopping carts full of essentials for my family and managed to still save over 50%…buying turkeys, meat, produce and quite a few other items that were full price and no coupons.

If you are new coupon to using coupons at Publix, make sure you look at the ‘total’ under each item, so you see how much the final price after sales and coupons was.  There are some great deals this week, so check out the deals I bought to see if any of them are ones you want to grab too.  Several of the items I bought this week will be part of my weekly recipes/crafts posts.  I marked those items below, in case you follow along and want to grab them while they are on sale.

Remember that the in order to really save money, you want to ‘stock up ‘ on an item while it’s at the rock bottom price so that you don’t have to purchase it again until it’s at that price again.  This means you are usually going to buy enough to last 3-6 months.

That means I got $590.84 worth of Groceries for only $263.06, which means I saved 55.4% on my bill!

I’m thrilled that I was able to still save over 50% and buy all of the meat, (especially splurge on the Lunch meat), produce and ‘extras’ that I grabbed this week! Obviously, this is WAY more than I am accustomed to spending in a single shopping trip, but it was 3 grocery carts full of food. The cashier told me that most people spend that every visit and leave with about 1/4 of what I was able to get for that amount of money. I have to admit that used to be me before I learned to coupon….and we were struggling to have enough food.  NOW…I’m stocked for a few months on many essential items, and that makes this Savvy Coupon Lady very happy!
