Publix Show & Tell: 55% Savings

by Kimberly on August 20, 2011

I had fun shopping tonight. We are completely out of meat of every kind in my home right now, so this week i am focusing on stocking up on meat. My stockpile is well stocked, so I’m working to stock up on meat and produce.  What is nice is that because I have a well stocked Stockpile I am able to spend most of my budget this week on produce and meat.  I went to Publix and Winn-Dixie tonight (Winn-Dixie show & tell will be up later) and I am heading out to Albertsons for the first time ever today to stock up on some more meat. Many of you know my budget for the MONTH for all 6 of us is $400…for groceries, toiletries, cleaning supplies and diapers. I have $200 for 2 weeks, which I try to keep at $100 per week, but if I go over a little this week on meat I know it’s ok…because there won’t be much I’ll need next week. As long as I keep it all within my budget I’m happy!! The percentage of savings will not be as high as you (and me) are used to seeing, but I will get what my family needs and stay within budget.

Note:
Each Publix varies as to whom they consider competitors to be. Check at your store to see what competitor coupons they will honor. The Publix I shopped at honors Target, Winn-Dixie and Sweetbay.
