Publix Show & Tell Savings 5/5/12

I was looking at this photo, and thought to myself that for new Savvy Couponers, they’re going to look at this shopping trip and think…now who can live off of that!  So, let me give a little insight into this.  When you begin your journey as a Savvy Couponer, you will begin to stock up on items as you find super cheap deals.  I no longer do my grocery shopping the way I used to.  My old way of shopping was to purchase what I needed for my family each week.  Now, that I have a well built stockpile (that only took about 12 weeks) I now shop to ‘restock’ my stockpile with the items I see I’m getting low on.  So, if you’re new to Savvy Couponing, keep that in mind.  This is why, when you first begin to use coupons, you will first save about 10%, then 20-30%, and then 50-90%.  You have to work first on building your stockpile, then once you have that, you are only shopping each week to restock!  I have to say, that I rarely buy soda, so I had no stockpile of that.  All of the soda purchases today were for my son’s birthday party tonight.  Below is a list of everything I bought at Publix, the coupons I used and how much I spent and saved.  If you are new to couponing, I encourage you to look over other Show & Tell Shopping Trips and or my Monthly Totals so you get an idea of the overall purchases I make each month.
