by Kimberly on May 27, 2011

I am so glad I went and took advantage of the deals this week! I ended up saving 80% there tonight! If you are new to shopping at Walgreens, please see the bottom of this post for tips to shopping there. It requires having several different transactions in one visit. (I check out at the cosmetics counter so I don’t hold up the line in the front of the store..just a tip for all of you:-)) Below is exactly the order I did the transactions in, the coupons I used and the total spent and saved (in case you want to copy me and run out tonight or tomorrow before the sale ends.)

**TIPS for shopping at Walgreens:**

1) Always give the cashier your MQ FIRST and Walgreens Coupons LAST
2) When buying multiple identical products offering RR, purchase them in SEPERATE transactions. (If you purchase more than 1 in a transaction you will only get 1 RR)
3) Do not use the RR you receive from a product to go towards the purchase price of another IDENTICAL product, as you will also not receive another RR. (Ex. If they’re offering a $5 RR for Pro-Glide Razors you will not want to use that $5RR towards another Pro-Glide Razor because you will NOT receive another RR. Purchase them in seperate transactions and use the RR for other items that are NOT identical)
4) RR can NOT be used towards the purchase of Dairy or Gift Cards
5) Remember you can never have more coupons than items at Walgreens, so grab something cheap (a ‘filler’) that is $0.50 or less to make up for any extra coupons
6) RR do have an expiration date on them, so make sure you use them before they expire.
7) “Profit” refers to you receiving more in RR than you spend. It does NOT mean you get cash back.
